He appears to believe Antonin Scalia may have been murdered for political reasons
During a February 15, 2016, interview with radio host Michael Savage, Trump appeared to agree with Savage that there was something fishy about Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia’s unexpected death, which had occurred two days earlier:
SAVAGE: Donald, I need to come back to the topic we’ve been all screaming about here, which is Scalia. Was he murdered? I know it’s pretty brutal to say that and I’m not wanting to drag you into this, but this is going to get bigger and bigger and bigger. I went on the air and said we need the equivalent of a Warren Commission, we need an immediate autopsy before the body is disposed of. What do you think of that?
TRUMP: Well, I just heard today and that just a little while ago actually — you know I just landed and I’m hearing it’s a big topic, that’s the question. And it’s a horrible topic, but they say they found a pillow on his face, which is a pretty unusual place to find a pillow. I can’t tell you what — I can’t give you an answer.
So suppose someone in the federal government — let’s just say it’s a Kenyan usurper who has shown us only two valid birth certificates — wants to confiscate every American’s guns, melt them down, and use the refined metal to build a giant statue of Osama bin Laden teabagging Ronald Reagan where the Washington Monument used to be. And suppose the only thing standing in his way is a conservative majority on the Supreme Court.
The obvious answer? Assassinate the most outspoken and influential conservative on the court while he’s off quail hunting. So far, so good. Sure, if murder was on this person’s mind, it would have made more sense to pull the trigger, so to speak, sometime in the previous seven years, before Scalia helped eviscerate the Voting Rights Act and attempted to scuttle the Kenyan’s signature health care law. But maybe this was the first time Scalia had exposed himself to the notoriously lax security of a Texas quail-hunting camp. Who knows?
But perhaps more disturbing than the possibility that the president of the United States or one of his confederates had a sitting Supreme Court justice murdered is that they apparently outsourced the job to a newly hired Kelly Services temp. What kind of assassin leaves the murder weapon on his victim’s face? That’s Murder 101, folks. Evil is usually not this stupid.
