About
the Authors
Hubert
Pedroli moved to the U.S. from Normandy in the 1970s
and has been discovering reasons to love America ever since.
His love of American music began back in France, listening
to Otis
Redding, Louis
Armstrong and Miles
Davis. His love of the American landscape includes the
beaches of Eastern Long Island and Cape Cod, the pine forests
of Northern Michigan, the stark beauty of the Arizona desert,
and the spectacular Pacific coast. He is the author of several
books on the subject of golf, including 1,001
Reasons to Love™ Golf. He proudly became an American
citizen in 2002.
Mary
Tiegreen was born and raised
in the Heartland and has a deep appreciation for the best
of the American character—generosity, warmth and hospitality,
common sense and practicality, self-reliance, honesty, willingness
to sacrifice, love of freedom, and a powerful sense of optimism.
She loves exploring the American language and its evolution;
loves roadtrips
and detours that take her to places like The
Shoe House in Hallam, Pennsylvania, The
World's Largest Catsup Bottle in Collinsville, Illinois,
or the Mystery
Spot in St. Ignace, Michigan. She loves Popsicles, pantyhose
and Post-it® notes—all invented by Americans! She
is the creator of Stewart, Tabori & Chang's 1,001
Reasons to Love™ series of books. |
